Sapphire Blue

Occupying arguably the North Coast’s finest headland position, Sapphire Blue of Sapphire Beach has been listed for sale.

The stunning residence sits atop a private 18.5 metre solid rock headland six minutes north of Coffs Harbour at Sapphire Beach, a limited strip of coastal land flanked by the ocean and the Great Diving Range.

Sapphire Beach has come to prominence in recent years, with horse racing baron and mining magnate Nathan Tinkler purchasing the next headland south of Sapphire Blue “Noorinya” in 2008 for $11.5M. Since that time the two homes adjacent to Sapphire Blue have sold as private holiday homes to Sydney based executives, one from Stockland and the other from the Royal Bank of Scotland. The builder of all three homes on the headland took out the HIA Home of the Year Award in a number of categories in 2009 for the northern home.

The last of the three to be completed, Sapphire Blue occupies the prize central position on the headland, with unparalleled 180? views out to Spit Solitary Island, the Solitary Islands Marine Park and the coastline from all key living spaces. “I saved the best for last” said developer Barry France, who purchased the private registered headland and created the three residences. “Living at Sapphire Blue is akin to being on the bow of a luxury ship”.

Sapphire Blue offers four bedrooms, three living areas including a state of the art home cinema and three bathrooms. Tasmanian oak and travertine flooring complement rosewood doors and windows throughout. The kitchen in American oak features Ilve and Miele appliances and a large butler’s pantry. The main living area offers a high definition plasma screen, Jetmaster fireplace and bifold doors to the 48m² outdoor living area.

One of the unique natural features is that prevailing winds hit the cliff face and direct winds up and over the residence, allowing the outdoor living area to be enjoyed at any time of day. The second outdoor kitchen boasts a large granite benchtop, commercial teppanyaki plate, state of the art barbecue and Vintec wine cabinets. There is a sunny private courtyard garden accessed via French doors from one of the living areas and a 13 metre salt water pool overlooking the ocean.

An underground water tank, underfloor heating and state of the art security system are just some of the many additional features of this once in a lifetime offering.
